The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has intensified grassroots consultations ahead of the party’s local government campaign flag-off and ward-to-ward rallies for the 2027 general elections.
Anyaso hosted councillors representing the 13 wards of Bende Local Government Area and Labour Party ward chairmen on Thursday, as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and coordinate mobilisation ahead of the campaigns.
Addressing the stakeholders, Anyaso described the councillors and ward chairmen as critical partners in achieving electoral success, urging them to remain committed to mobilising support within their respective communities.
He emphasised the need for effective ward-level coordination and sustained engagement, expressing confidence in the party’s electoral prospects.
“We are sure that we are winning this one. Everyone should be busy in their wards. We want total and absolute victory,” he said.
The LP candidate assured the party officials that regular consultations and meetings would continue to ensure effective coordination as political activities gather momentum ahead of the January elections.
Responding, the Deputy Leader of the Bende Legislative Council, Hon. Chidiebere Chukwu Ude, assured Anyaso of the councillors’ commitment to intensifying grassroots mobilisation and maintaining regular contact with their constituents.
Similarly, the Chairman of Ward Chairmen and LP Chairman of Item Ward B, Pastor Thomas Ukonu, said the ward chairmen were prepared to mobilise party members and supporters across their respective communities for the forthcoming campaign activities.
