Ukwa-East Mayor, Nwagbara, Charges Youths On Human Capital Development, Launches Free Training

The Mayor of Ukwa East Local Government Area (LGA), Abia State, Dame Ngozi Nwagbara (Ph.D) has charged youths to upscale their skills to remain economically relevant.

The Council Boss who stated this during the reopening of the Skill Acquisition Centre, Ohambele Ndoki, Ukwa-East LGA recently, emphasized that Governor Alex Otti of Abia state has placed a big value on Human Capital Development.

She also decried the level of skills deficit among young people, expressing hope that the Centre would close the huge gap.

Dame Nwagbara urged the teeming unemployed within Ukwa-East and its environs to take advantage of this opportunity to acquire new skills that would enhance their profitability.

She listed vocational courses available for enrollment to include: Catering, Sewing, Hairdressing, Plumbing, Tiling, weaving, among others, while calling on interested candidates to obtain the Entry Forms from their Traditional Rulers or Ward Councillors free of charge.

The Ndoki-born technocrat called on the people of Ukwa-East to continue to support Gov. Alex Otti’s administration, adding that he is ever committed in delivering the dividends of democracy to Abians, especially in Ukwa-East.
