Rotary Club Honours Sir Nkwonta With Humanitarian Service Award

The 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for Ukwa Federal Constituency, Sir Chris Nkwonta has been honoured with an award of Excellence for Humanitarian services in Nigeria by Rotary Club.

Speaking at the event, the President Rotary Club of Aba, Rtn. Emmanuel Akparanta, said that the award was in recognition of Chief Nkwonta’s philanthropic gestures to the downtrodden and other Humanitarian services in Abia state and Nigeria at large.

Akparanta who added that Nkwonta’s love for the indigent students knows no bounds as many indigent students has enjoyed (while some are still enjoying) free education, courtesy of Chris Nkwonta’s scholarship programmes.

He called on well-meaning Nigerians and corporate bodies to emulate Sir Nkwonta and partner Rotary Club to change the lives of millions of Nigerians.

In his remark, Sir Chris Nkwonta, disclosed that charity does not take away anything from an individual but makes one happy while making others happy too.

He thanked Rotary Club for the honour, and promised to work tiredlessly for the benefits of humanity in Ukwa, Abia state and Nigeria at large.

Contributing, one of the beneficiaries of Sir Chris Nkwonta’s benovolence, Miss Oluchi Ibezim, recalled how Chief Nkwonta fully sponsored her medical trip for Bilateral Hip replacement to BLK Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi India in 2015.

Ibezim who thanked Nkwonta for coming to her rescue, described the honour by Rotary as well deserved.

She prayed God to continue to bless Sir Nkwonta in all his endeavours.
