Rivers LG Elections: Fubara To Swear In Newly Elected Chairmen Today

Gov Siminalayi Joseph Fubara of Rivers State would swear in newly elected Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen in Rivers State today.

The Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, this in press statement, revealing that the event would hold at the Executive Council Chambers of the state’s Government House in Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), had yesterday declared winners of the LG elections, with 22 of 23 LGAs won by the Action Peoples Party (APP).

The release further reads: “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, will today Sunday, October 6, 2024, swear-in the newly elected Council Chairmen at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, by 4:00 pm.

“The newly elected Chairmen, along with one (1) guest each, are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.
