OACF Underscores Food as a Fundamental Human Right as it Marks World Food Day

The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) has joined the global community in celebrating World Food Day 2024 under the theme “Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future,” emphasizing that food is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.

A release signed by the Founder, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, states, “This theme underscores the critical importance of ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, has access to nutritious, affordable, and sustainable food.”

He emphasized that the foundation is committed to improving the lives of people at the grassroots level and meaningfully engaging with communities, adding that the foundation stands firm in the belief that food is not a privilege but a fundamental human right.

“Beyond air and water, food is the third most basic human need. Everyone deserves access to sufficient food. Hence, the efforts of the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation in distributing family support packs of food items and condiments to many rural residents in the Umunneochi community and beyond.”
