Residents and students in Oboro Ward 2, Ikwuano Local Government Area, have commended Rt. Hon. Nkem Uba Ebilah following the distribution of 10,000 customised exercise books to pupils and students across 17 public and private schools in the area.
The distribution exercise, which began on May 11, 2026, benefited students from Nursery 2 to Senior Secondary School 3. Teachers in the participating schools also received learning materials and bags of foreign rice.

Speaking during the outreach, Rt. Hon. Ebilah praised the academic performance and discipline displayed by pupils and students in the schools visited, describing education as a critical foundation for societal growth and development.
As part of the intervention, the councillor also donated bags of rice to students of the Faculty of Law, Abia State University Extension, Umudike, particularly those residing in both male and female hostels.

In addition, he facilitated the installation of solar-powered street lights approved by Governor Alex Otti to improve security and visibility around the university gates, hostels, and reading halls, including parts of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
Students and residents expressed appreciation for the gesture and pledged continued support for the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
They described Rt. Hon. Ebilah as a dedicated grassroots leader whose performance reflects the development-oriented vision of the present administration.
During his interaction with students, Rt. Hon. Ebilah encouraged them to remain focused on their education and emulate the values of hard work, discipline, and excellence exemplified by Governor Otti. He also urged eligible senior secondary school students to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections.

The councillor further offered prayers for the students, expressing optimism that many of them would rise to occupy strategic leadership positions in the state and across the country.
Rt. Hon. Ebilah also appreciated Governor Otti for the opportunity to serve under his administration. He thanked members of his team and constituents for their continued support, while commending the management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, and the Faculty of Law, ABSU Extension, Umudike, for their cooperation.

Among members of his team present during the distribution exercise were Mr. Chimela Onyiaka, Mrs. Ngozi Okparaocha, Mr. Nwagu Emmanuel, Mr. Ejike Okpechi Boniface, Lady Cynthia Anyanwu, Mr. Ikechukwu E. Chukwunyere, Mr. Silas Kenneth, and Mr. Chukwudi Nelson.
