Newly Appointed Eze-Elect of Bende Ovu Autonomous Community Vows Commitment to Service and Development

The transition committee Chairman of Bende Local Government Area, Hon Barr Chijioke Nwankwo, has charged the Eze Elect Bende Ovu Autonomous community Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie to rule with the fear of God and place priority on community service. The Council Boss charged him to make truth and justice the standpoint of his rulership and congratulated him on his selection. He further enjoined the traditional Ruler to make sure he doesn’t shortchange his people on issues that concern them, making sure that they enjoy the dividend of democracy, and promised to take his file to the Governor for approval.

The Eze-Elect Bende Ovu autonomous community, Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie in his acceptance speech, promised to be loyal to the Government of Governor Alex Otti, Bende LGAand the traditional institution, pledge to continue as before the upliftment of his community to a greater heights. Eze-Elect Okorie was selected as the replacement for their Late traditional ruler HRH Eze Nelson Emmanuel Arua Kalu who died some years ago.

Eze Elect, Elder Micheal Nnadi Okorie

In his address, the president general of the community Chief Loveday C. Kalu before officially presenting the Eze Elect to the Council Boss alongside the traditional prime minister Mr Monday Okorie the three village head cum three women leaders that make up the community, stated that due process was followed in the selection of Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie as their Eze-Elect per their Constitution. Presenting the Eze-Elect to the Mayor Bende LGA, the director in charge of traditional institution in the council, comrade Orji Iheukwumere said that the community has fulfilled all the necessary processes of selection. congratulated him on his selection. While congratulating him on his selection, the Chairman Bende Traditional Rulers Council HRM Eze Uchendu Okorie and Eze Patrick Udeh congratulated the Eze-Elect Elder Michael Nnadi Okorie for his selection and charged his people to rally around him to make his reign a progressive and successful one. The ceremony attracted the presence of Retired perm sec. Mr. Patrick Udeh, Mr. Ibuchim Okorie, HOS Bende LGA, Dr. Joy Ekekwe, and other notable personalities of the community, women groups, and youths. The high point of the event was the formal presentation of the Eze-Elect to the council boss.
