Lauretta Onochie Blasts Atiku, says he risk being tried for treason

A special assistant to President Mohamadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has reacted to an Atiku Abubakar photo apparently making the rounds in Abuja, saying they contained what she termed “weird inscription”.
Although Lauretta, who is no newbie to controversy, would not say what the “weird inscription” was/were, she goes on to warn Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that he should counsel himself or risk being tried for treason, according to DailyPost.
She went further to declare that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP flag bearer and first runner-up in the just concluded presidential election, should be glad to be walking the streets free, when in deed he aught to be languishing in prison.
Yesterday, Tuesday, she wrote on her Twitter handle: “I just returned to Abuja and saw Atiku’s photos with some weird inscriptions.

“For one who is lucky to be walking free, whatever he is planning, he shouldn’t forget that we have a President in place.

“Nigerians will insist that treason be treated as treason. He should counsel himself.

“When you lose an election, you either congratulate the victor or you challenge the election results in court.

“After foot-dragging, Atiku has now managed to go to court. It’s in the best interest of the nation that he continues in that legal path instead of stirring mischief.”

It’s on record that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Atiku have taken the legal option of challenging the results of the just-concluded presidential election.
