Ikpeazu Renames ASUBEB Building After Late Sir Micah Onyebuchi

 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has renamed the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) Building at Ogurube layout Umuahia after late Pa Micah Onyebuchi in recognition of his contribution to the education sector.

 

 

The Governor who was speaking at funeral service of Late Chief Micah Onyebuchi held at the Amuzukwu Girls Secondary school Umuahia stated the late Elder statesman ran a good race and left legacies on the sands of time especially in the education sector of the state.

 

Describing the late educationist as an Icon, father, mentor and leader who contributed immensely to the development of Abia State, Ikpeazu prayed God to grant his family,the Amuzukwu Community and Abia State the fortitude to bear the loss.

He therefore charged the Onyebuchi family to hold on to the virtues of their late father.

 

In a sermon earlier, the Prelate,Methodist Church Nigeria, Most Rev. Samuel Uche reminded the living that death is inevitable, and stressed that all to live righteously and prepare for eternity adding that those who have done well would enjoy eternal life.

 

In a biography, the family described their late father as a legend,an enigma who made tremendous impact in the Nigerian education sector, immediate environment and the Christian community leaving behind a legacy of intergrity, diligence, discipline and philanthropy.

Late Chief Micah Ezejinkeya Onyebuchi who died at the age of 90 years is survived by his wife Lady Felicia Ihekerenma Onyebuchi, five Children including the Chief Medical Director FMC Umuahia Professor Azubuike Onyebuchi and host of other relations.
