Group Raises Support For Abarikwu, Puts Down Strategies For 2023 Polls

As political activities continue to build up in Abia State ahead of the 2023 general elections, a group under the aegis of Elevate Abia Now Foundation (EANF), has met with its executive members to strategize and solidify plans that would bring their candidate to victory come 2023.
In a meeting held at the Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu campaign office,Umuahia, the group pledged their sincere loyalty to the candidacy of Engr Abarikwu, who is the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
In his remarks, the Director General Ogbonna Abarikwu campaign Organization, Mr Osondu Anamelechi, charged the Group on the need to pursue their goal of bringing Engr Abarikwu into the system,noting that if elected, he would give the dividend of democracy to his constituents.
According to Mr Anamelechi, who described Ogbonna Abarikwu as the best candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat,urged members of the group to take the gospel of integrity which Abarikwu stands for,to all the nooks and crannies of Ikwuano/Umuahia.
He informed the group that the APGA Federal House of Representatives candidate, Engr Ogbonna Abarikwu, is not coming into politics for self aggrandizement or to syphon public funds,but he is coming to change the narrative,as well as introduce decency in governance, describing him as a good product that could be sold any time and any day.
In his Speech, Engr Abarikwu charged leaders of the group to sit up and ensure they deliver on their mandate, as laxity would nolonger be tolerated.
The APGA candidate instructed for the immediate removal of any executive who would try to sabotage their efforts, stressing that the Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency has been relegated for so long,hence, the urgent need to rewrite the story of the area, which he (Abarikwu) represents.
He stated, “I am not coming into politics to make money but to render selfless and accountable service to my people.
“Ikwuano/Umuahia needs to vote right and moreso,vote in people of capacity, integrity and competence.People that can bring the desired change to the constituency”.
He advised the leadership of the EANF to bring in more people into the structure, particularly the youth, urging them not to discriminate anyone whether on the basis of gender or Local Government of origin.
Earlier in his response, the State Coordinator EANF, Daniel Ezeocha, charged the members of the foundation to go to their various wards and institute more ward executive,so as to meet with the task ahead.
In their separate speeches, Emmanuel Stephen, Pst Obinna Ohanka,Chidi  Onyebuchi,Chima Amaechi among those that spoke, pledged to put their efforts together to ensure they deliver the APGA candidate,who they said, is the only one that can deliver Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency from decay.
