Dad ‘defiles’ daughter, 2

The police have arrested a man, Peter Adida, for allegedly defiling his two-year-old daughter.

Adida, of 9, Oyetayo Olafisoye Street, Westwood Estate, Badore, Ajah, Lagos, was arrested on November 17 by the Langbasa Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ada Okafor.

Preliminary investigations showed that the baby penetrated and was infected with Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).

The police said the victim pointed at her father when she was asked who defiled her.

“She described the sex positions she was involved in with her father,” said spokesman Chike Oti.

He said Commissioner Imohimi Edgal had directed that the matter be transferred to the Gender Unit for investigation.

“Edgal advises parents and guardians to watch their children and wards, as rapists are on the increase,” said Oti.
