Civil Servants in Abia State Called To Embrace Technology

A workshop organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology in partnership with Xerox Nigeria Limited for Directors, Deputy Directors and officers on Grade level 14 in all MDAs held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium Umuahia has ended with a call on participants to embrace technology.

 

In his address during the workshop which has the theme: “21st century SMART office Transformation in Ministries, Department And Agencies” The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu said govt is desirous of making the state civil service more productive and efficient.

The SSG who appreciated Xerox Limited for their partnership expressed the hope that the participants will make good use of the Knowledge acquired for efficient service delivery.

 

Speaking, the Commissioner for Science and Technology, and chairman on the occasion, Mr Chima Oriaku disclosed that the program aims to move from analogue to digital, adding that the gesture is geared towards ensuring that workflow digitalisation is seamless.

 

In his presentation, the General Manager, Sales and Marketing Xerox Nigeria Limited, Mr Femi Abidoye thanked Governor Alex Otti for his innovation to introduce the electronic document management system in the state.

He explained that the e-system is cost-saving, sustainable, secured among others.
