Abia Community Appeals To Gov Otti

People of Umulelu village in Mgboko Amaise Autonomous Community, Obingwa LGA have appealed to Governor Alex Otti to use the 700 plots of land acquired in their community by the previous administration to build the Abia State University of Science and Technology which it was meant for.

Speaking at the palace of Eze Eberechi Dick, the Village Head of Umulelu village Chief Roland Obilor Anyanwu, DSP Anyanwu Sunday (retired), Chief Chibuike Anyanwu and the Eldest man in the community Chief Sunday Evoh said the foundation for the University has been laid and was abandoned by the past government.

They noted that the will bring development to the area when realized and called on the state government to act fast to put the land to proper use.

Reacting, a Former Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers Traditional Ruler of Mgboko Amaise Autonomous Community Obingwa LGA Eze Eberechi Dick described Governor Alex Otti as a listening Governor and expressed optimism that he will use the land to build the proposed Abia State University of Science and Technology which is still lacking in the state to help to further bring out and encourage the ingenuity of Abians.

Eze Dick assured that they will give hundred percent support to the project and commended him for the ongoing construction of Itungwa – Omoba road.

The Royal Father prayed God to continue to give the Governor the strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the State.
