Abia: 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration Committee Inaugurated with Call for Teamwork and Success

The 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration Committee has been Inaugurated with a charge to members to work as a team to ensure a successful Commemoration of the annual event.
While Inaugurating the Committee, the Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Ngozi Blessing Felix Stated that the Celebration which is a National event is aimed at honouring our falling and retired heroes who served our nation in various Military Capacities.

 

The Hon.Commissioner reminded the Committee that the success of the Celebration is entirely their responsibility and urged them not to disappoint the state.

She however expressed confidence that they will carry out the task with utmost responsibility & dedication.

 

Earlier in her remarks the Technical Aid to the Hon.Commissioner, Mrs Nnennaya Onwuka encouraged the Committee to close ranks with all Stakeholders with a view to injecting new ideas in the task ahead.

 

Responding on behalf of the Committee members, the Deputy Director of Planning, Research & Statistics of the BCA, Mrs Naomi Onuigbo who Represented the Director General of BCA assured the Commissioner of their resolve to organize a successful Armed Forces Remembrance Day. She promised that BCA will give the event the required adequate publicity.

Meanwhile, members of the Committee include The Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation as Chairperson. The Director of Social Welfare, The Director of Planning, The Deputy Director of Administration.The Technical Assistance to the Hon.Commissioner.The Director General BCA, the Chairman of Nigeria Legion Abia State Chapter, Officers of the Army, Navy, Police, SA to the Governor on Security, The Director of Protocol Government House and the Public Relations Officer in the ministry.
