Two Years in Office: Amobi Ogah Reels Out One Billion Naira Empowerment Package for Constituents, Promises More Dividends

The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has marked his two years in office with a massive empowerment programme, distributing cars, tricycles, sewing machines, freezers, motorcycles, trucks and other livelihood-support items to constituents.

The gesture, he said, is aimed at accelerating the socio-economic level of his people, while assuring them that more benefits are on the way.

Speaking at the second edition of his empowerment programme held at the Onuaku Primary School Field, Uturu, Abia State, Ogah said the initiative was motivated by the love and support he received from the constituency since his election.

According to him, the essence of the empowerment was to boost the economic and social emancipation of his constituents. “The day I was declared winner of the House of Representatives election for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi, I was overwhelmed by the love my people showed me. I am planning that before next year, every ward in my constituency will have a tractor so our people can go to the farm easily”.

He appreciated the Governor’s support and the synergy between them, citing the payment of long-standing salary arrears, improved welfare for traditional rulers and restoration of security in his constituency as clear indicators of people-centered governance.

Representing Governor Otti at the event, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, praised Ogah for his outstanding representation, describing the empowerment initiative as the true definition of leadership.
