The wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs. Priscilla Otti has attended the inauguration of Mbaise Daughters International Association, Aba.
The inauguration took place today at the Aba Townhall in Aba South Local Government Area of the state.
Mrs. Otti addressed the association, stating that today’s gathering is a unique demonstration of the unity and love that exists among the daughters of Mbaise, as well as within the community as a whole.

The Governor’s wife commended the Mbaise Daughters for their resilience, cultural drive and community development.
She expressed that the role of the Daughters of Mbaise in community development cannot be overemphasised.
According to her, support your husbands and do all you can to make the home front successful.
Mrs. Otti advised the Mbaise Daughters to collaborate in building a better society by protecting the girl child from gender-based violence and other vices in society.
She assured the association of her support even as she promised to liase with Governor Alex Otti to look into their challenges and offer his help.
Earlier, Mrs. Florence Ohazuruike, the coordinator of the Mbaise Daughters International Association, Aba chapter, expressed that the association is in Aba to contribute to the progress that Abia is making. She also requested inclusion, empowerment, and support to enable the association to provide its services to both the host communities and their homeland.
However, the coordinator mentioned some of their challenges to includes lack of operational vehicle, office space and solicits for support from the wife of the Governor.
Also speaking, the President General of Mbaise in Abia, Surveyor Joe Anosike, commended the Abia First Lady for identifying with them.
He added that her presence at the event has shown the love she had for her kits and kin.
Meanwhile, the founder of the association, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeanyika, said that the formation of the association was an act of petroticism to bring unity, progress and development to the land of Mbaise in Imo state.
