The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu has called on contractors and investors whose aim is to do business with the Abia State government to visit the bureau for quality service delivery.
Dr. Chukwu who made the call in a Radio programme at Love 99.9 FM recently disclosed that the Bureau is open, set and functional to render public procurement services to individuals and corporate organizations ready to offer their services to the Abia State government.
The SSA to the Governor, said before the administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti came on board, the bureau was in a state of comatose, without staff, good working environment and well defined job responsibilities.
“The Bureau is now up and running in a full scale capacity to render services to willing Contractors and corporate organizations. Unlike in the past administrations before Governor Alex Chioma Otti OFR, came on board, we met the bureau lifeless but now, the Agency is functioning in optimal capacity according to the law establishing it in 2012” Dr. Chukwu said.
He, therefore, expressed pleasure and gratitude to Governor Alex Chioma Otti for his visionary style of leadership and for giving the bureau a sense of purpose by deploying every necessary facility to facelift the Agency under his watch.
According to him, there is ease of doing business with the Abia State government through the bureau with every sense of transparency and accountability adding that they are among the core values and principles of the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
Dr. Chukwu further added that the bureau is set for a media launch to further showcase the activities of the Agency to the global community with a view to attract the best contractors in the State.
