The Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Chinedum Orji, has lauded the Associate Pastor, Living Faith Church,Umuahia,Pastor Steve Ugochukwu, for attaining a golden age of 50.
Rt.Hon Orji who made this known in Umuahia,during the 50th Birthday celebration/15 years wedding anniversary of Pastor Ugochukwu, described the celebrant as one man who would always stand fiercely to the truth and any course he believes in, stating that the cleric is a complete loyalist and a fighter of justice.
Pastor Ugochukwu who also used his golden jubilee celebration to launch his first book,”Rising Above Discouragement”, celebrated fifteen years of uninterrupted divine blessings in his marriage.
The Abia speaker while urging him not to toy with his family,said 70% of the problems people face today, could largely be solved, if only they have a decent wife and most importantly a good family.
The Lawmaker stated that 50years anniversary is a milestone and therefore,calls for celebration, adding that he would celebrate the cleric in a special way.
Recounting on the sterling qualities of the celebrant, who also has been in government as far back as the year 2000, urged the cleric not to relent in making impacts on people, stating that for people to turn up enmesse for the occasion,shows that he has indeed made positive impacts on them.
He advised that the celebrant should focus more on the downtrodden in the society,with special reference to youth Empowerment, pointing out that youth development and empowerment is the panacea to the incessant restiveness in the country.
According to him, Nigeria has reached the level whereby any political leader who do not give attention to youth development,would have himself to blame.
The Speaker, however, advised political leaders to shun the leader takes it all mentality, but ensure that atleast 60% of funds is given to the development of public projects.
While wishing the celebrant many more fruitful years,commended him for maintaining a good and cordial relationship with his people, urging him to ensure he carries everyone along.
In their Goodwill messages,The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Sam Onuigbo, represented by the Deputy T.C chairman,Umuahia South,Hon Chibuzor Ejim, Abia State Civil Service,Sir Onyii Wamah and the Deputy T.C chairman Umuahia North LGA, Hon Ugochukwu Ibeh, wished the cleric bountiful and fruitful years ahead.
In an interview with the press,the celebrant, Pastor Steve Ugochukwu, expressed excitement and gratitude to God for sparing his life to witness his golden age.
According to him,no one has ever crossed fifty years in his family before,adding that he became so curious when he started advancing to fifty.
He further attributed his faith in God and tireless service in the kingdom,to what broke the siege of untimely death in his family.
Pastor Ugochukwu, however,noted that the magic behind his fifteen years wedding anniversary, was because he married a wife and a good one at that, urging all those believing God for marital breakthrough, as well as the attainment of a golden jubilee,to always put their trust in God.
For Mrs Ugochukwu Chinyere,she could not contain her joy,as she was seen smiling all through the occasion.
She said her marriage to Pastor Ugochukwu was a mystery and appreciated him for picking her as a wife.
Mrs Chinyere revealed that the secret of her family success has been prayers and urged all those passing through turbulent times in their homes,to go on their knees and pray.
She described her husband as her pride,joy and pillar of support, praying God to grant him many more years on earth and bring all his desires to fruition.
Highpoint of the celebration was the cutting of the 50th Birthday cake cum 15 years Wedding anniversary cake, as well as the official unveiling of the book ” Rising anove Discouragement”,authored by Pastor Steve Ugochukwu.
