2022 Icons Music Award Winner Emerges

 

 

A 24 year old student of the Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture,Umudike, Mr Kama Chukwueme Kalu has emerged winner of the 2022 Icon Music Reality Show clinching a total of Five Hundred Thousand Naira Prize Money.

 

The 5th year student of the Department of Veterinary Medicine beat nine other contestants to emerge winner in the keenly contested music talent hunt show organised in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Vision Africa International.

 

The event held at the Michael Okpara auditorium Umuahia also featured various Awards to deserving individuals for their exemplary leadership while some of the awardees include:Sergeant Joy Nwogu,Mr Edwin O Nwabueze,Rev sister Marie Anita Ogbonna and Mr Ikechukwu Chimbuo, a tricycle operator who returned a huge sum of money to the owner.

In his speech, the President Vision Africa Radio, Bishop Sunday Onuoha while congratulating the winner as well as other contestants noted that the 2022 Icons Music Reality Show with the Theme; “Come Let Us Build”, is aimed at showcasing various music talents among the youths.

He added that Vision Africa has used her various programs and platforms to build people as well as engage the youths positively.

 

The Methodist Cleric stated that the icon music reality show has showcased the participants to other opportunities with the recording deal of icon winners for nine years, while the organization decided to honour those who have touched lives positively.

He added that the music competition has been made transparent and charged people to build themselves on good character, sound morals rather than pursuing wealth.

 

In his remarks, the Co-chairman of the occasion,Mr Jickson Iheme while commending Vision African for impacting on the lives of people,revealed that Vision Africa saved his life from attempted suicide as a result of frustration.

 

Also the Chairperson, Miss Olumachi Nwachukwu congratulated Vision Africa for using their programs and activities to restore lives and encouraged people to emulate the motto of Vision Africa which is “Sharing God’s Love”.

 

Speaking to newmen,the visibly overwhelmed winner of the 2022 Icon music reality show, Mr Kama Chukwuemeka Kalu appreciated the Vision Africa for creating opportunities for youths to discover their talents and promised to remain a good ambassador of the organization.
