Genuine Reconciliation Panacea For PDP’s Victory In 2023— Ikpeazu

 

 

Abia State Governor,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has described truth and genuine reconciliation as panache for the People’s Democratic Party to achieve total victory in the forth coming 2023 general elections.

Governor Ikpeazu stated this at his Umuobiakwa country home, when he received in audience the Board of Trustees Members of the PDP led by it’s Acting Chairman, Sen Adolphus Wabara.


The Governor while noting that the PDP needs to take a retrospect inorder to avoid a repeat of the party’s bitter experiences in 2015 said the time has come for leaders of the party to stand firm in the defence of truth.

 

He said: “Our ineptitude in the things we did not do well led this country to where we are heading now otherwise we would have not gone into the hands of APC in the first place.

“We are not in the same place we were in 2015. We need to look at the variables that has changed and respond to these variables and dynamics accordingly.

“We need to remain hungry for power so that our adrenaline level will remain optimum and drive us towards attaining that goal.

 

“All countries in this world that have risen from the ashes of civil war, quarrels, bitter clashes are countries that did genuine truth and reconciliation. I pray that we would realized that there is no half measure to victory in politics”.

Ikpeazu however assured that he would champion the vanguard for genuine reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party to ensure its overall victory in 2023 general elections.

 

He thanked the delegation for their efforts towards finding a lasting solution to internal crisis rocking the party, ahead of next year’s election and assured that Abia is PDP and would be delivered to the party in the forth coming general elections.

While describing Senator Adolphus Wabara as an erudite diplomat, Ikpeazu congratulated him on his emergence as the acting BOT Chairman especially at the moment the PDP needs focused and visionary leaders that will rescue it from its present quagmire.

 

Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Acting Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees, Sen. Adolphus Wabara said he came to present himself to the Governor as the leader of the party, adding that party is looking up to the likes of Governor Ikpeazu to show them the way forward as one of their respected leaders pointing out that he is happy to commence his first official engagement in his home state.

Wabara, said the board resolved to champion the amicable resolution of the internal crisis rocking the party with a view to making the party stand stronger ahead of the 2023 election.

 

Former Governor of Enugu State, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, Former Governor of Kogi state, Dr Ibrahim Idris, Former Minister, Aminu Ibrahim Saraki, A Former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development,Hajia Zainab Maina, among others were part of the delegation while the state PDP Governorship candidate Uche Ikonne and his running mate, Okey Igwe, Abia PDP stalwarts were present during the visit.
