The founder, Omega Power Ministries (OPM) and the traditional ruler, Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki autonomous community, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has charged youths not to loose hope, owing to the present economic realities.
Apostle Chibuzor who gave the charge when he received in audience, a delegation of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ukwa-East chapter in his office in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State recently, lamented that the present economic hardship has affected the vulnerable, with unemployed youths mostly affected.
He decried that Ndoki in Abia, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states are backward and also marginalized, revealing that plans are underway to industrialize Ndoki land.
In his words: “I have made efforts to bring investors to Ndoki and from now to December 2024, Ndoki would be industrialized”.
King Apostle Chibuzor further disclosed that he would continue to invest meaningfully in the youths, adding that he has brought Football Club owners abroad to scout and take young players to ply their professional trade in Europe.
The foremost cleric and philanthropist further urged youths to put their trust in the Almighty God, maintaining that the race of life is not by connection but by God’s favour.
He recalled that he could not finish secondary school due to poverty but through God’s help and mercies, now pays Professors, Medical Doctors and nurses among other professionals in his payroll system.
“Go for God’s favour as it is the spiritual that controls the physical”, he further advised.
Earlier in his remark, the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ukwa-East chapter, Comrade Emmanuel Akparanta thanked King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere for his huge investment towards the development of the youths, maintaining that it is legendary.
In his words: “Your Majesty, you’ve given hope to the indigent students who have lost hope of acquiring education, artisanal skills among others and we are very proud of you”.
Akparanta who also commended the Clergy for bringing investors to Ukwa-East LGA recently, pleaded for forgiveness on behalf of some Ndoki youths who betrayed their benefactor; Apostle Chibuzor.
The NYCN boss, regretted the bad attitudes of those youths, urging King Apostle Chibuzor to consider more Ndoki youths for scholarships, employment opportunities, among others human capital investment.
He further expressed the readiness of NYCN to partner with OPM towards empowering the younger ones in Ndoki land and beyond.
Highlight of the event was the decoration of the King Apostle Chibuzor with renowned Akwete fabrics, signifying honour by the executives of the apex youth body.
Information gathered revealed that King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has sponsored over 4,000 indigent children abroad on scholarship. While some beneficiaries were sent to study in Turkey, Cyprus, Poland, the United States, Canada, etc., over 650 persons were sent to study in the Benin Republic, fully sponsored by the church, including free accommodations and feeding.
The church also built about 27 free nursery, primary and secondary schools across Abia, Rivers, Lagos and Akwa Ibom.
A source further revealed that one of the schools out of the 27 free nursery, primary and secondary schools is a special free school for autism and people with Down syndrome.
The source disclosed that: “We have a total number of 27 free schools. Out of the 27, we have 26 free schools in Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers, Lagos and one free school for children born with autism and Down syndrome. In Africa as a whole, there is no free school for autism and Down syndrome. OPM is the only church that built such a school. Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere didn’t just build the school. He provided brand new buses that take the children to school and return them back home. He also employed special teachers who are teaching them. Presently, he has also acquired land in Umuahia to commence building a free school for autism and Down syndrome in Nigeria.”
The effort includes the provision of a skills acquisition programme.
It was also revealed that the ministry has built about 18 free estates in Port Harcourt, Aluu community in Rivers among others.
