Nweke Visits Agbani Police Division, Commiserates With CP, Community Over Death Of Personnel

ENUGU–The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, Mr. Frank Nweke Jr, has visited Agbani Police Division, as well as the people of the community, to commiserate with them over the loss of some police personnel that were killed after an attack on a police checkpoint in front of the Area command/Agbani police division.

Nweke while sympathizing with the force also saluted their bravery in protecting the lives and property of the people of Agbani and the state at large despite frequent attacks on the Nigeria Police.

He also condoled with the families of the deceased policemen, adding that their sudden demise while on national duty was very painful.

“I truly sympathize with you all. We all are saddened by this ugly situation and loss of men who gave their lives to the service of the people.

The APGA gubernatorial candidate condemned the attack and noted the need for better working conditions and an upgrade in equipment for the force.

“Ensuring that our security operatives have all they need to work with is a priority to me, we cannot keep our people if those meant to protect them don’t have what is necessary to do their jobs.

“If I become your governor, I will take all measures necessary to ensure all security agencies have all the support they need.” he promised.

It could be recalled that unknown gunmen had attack the police officers on Saturday morning.

The gunmen reported to have operated from a vehicle, stormed the checkpoint and opened fire on the police officers, killing three on the spot.
