Jubilation As Ukwa-East LG Boss, Wabara, Presents Mega Health Facility To Community

The Executive Chairman, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Chuks Wabara has presented a mega health facility to Ohambele – Ndoki community.

Presenting the health facility at Ohambele Ndoki, Ukwa-East LGA recently, the LG council boss charged the people to protect the property from vandalism and support its operations with everything at their disposals.

Wabara who stated that the mega Primary Health Centre with Doctors’ quarters attached, would solve the health needs of the people, urged them to take advantage of the facility for their well-being.

He revealed that his administration through the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has restored peace to the perennial crisis between Akirika-Obu in Ukwa-East LGA, Abia state and their counterpart in Ika LGA of Akwa-Ibom state.

Wabara noted that his administration has passed Ndoki Mass Transit and Ndoki Day Bills into law, pointing out that the mass transit would boost economic activities and enhance transportation in the area.

The council boss who further listed his administration’s strides to include: palliative works on the dilapidated Aba – Azumini road; grading of roads in all the wards in LGA; distribution of fertilizers to farmers to boost food production in the area; restoration of light and sinking of borehole at LG Skill Acquisition Centre; and sinking of borehole at Akanu – Ndoki among others.

Wabara disclosed that Obohia Motor Park would be rebuilt to further enhance transportation in the area.

Hon. Wabara further revealed that the former Senate President and the Board of Trustee (BOT), Chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Adolphus Wabara has donated medical equipment worth millions of naira to kick-off medical operations in the facility, adding that the eight plots of land upon which the health facility was built, was donated by Chief Ndeonyenma Akara from Umu Amini in Ohambele Ndoki.

Meanwhile, the Abia state Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barr. Tony Nwamuo has commended Ukwa-East LG Chairman, for initiating and completing the Primary Health Centre project, adding that it would complement Gov. Ikpeazu’s strides in the health sector, in solving the health needs of the people.

Nwamuo who reiterated Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu’s commitment towards healthcare delivery and Human Capital Development, maintained that government would support the health facility for efficient delivery.

He urged them to guard all government facilities in their communities against vandals.

In his remark, the Chairman, Ukwa-East LGA Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Eze Tony Nwalali Nwagbara has applauded Ukwa-East Council boss for the health facility project, maintaining that it would meet the health needs of the people within the LGA and beyond.

The Royal Father prayed God to bless Hon. Wabara, his family and cabinet for bringing health relief to the people, adding that posterity would be kind to him.

In his remark, the Majority Leader, Ukwa-East Legislative Council, Hon. Hector Nwahunanya has described the LG boss, Hon. Wabara as a prudent man, adding that the mega health centre was built out of the lean resources of the council.

Nwahunanya pledged his people’s support towards the operation of the facility in tackling the health needs of the people.
