Ikpeazu Swears In Five New Permanent Secretaries

 

Five New Permanent Secretaries have been sworn into the Abia State Civil Service by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu with a charge to “adapt to the vision of the state government and pursue it with ruthless tenacity”.

 

The five new Permanent Secretaries are;
Barr. (Mrs.) Chimdi-Ejiogu Ugonwa,
Mrs Balogu, Chiazom Dorothy
Mrs Onuoha-Ogwe, Ijeoma
Mr. Akoma, Gideon Iheanyichi and
Mr. Charles Ifenkwe.

 

Speaking during the ceremony at Government House Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu congratulated them for reaching the apex of their career in the state civil service adding that to whom much is given, much is expected.

The Governor further charged them to cultivate a cordial working relationship with their colleagues and evolve programmes that would enhance the performances of the various ministries that they would be assigned to.

 

He urged them to be drivers of modern economy and bring in their wealth of experience in moving the state forward.

 

“I expect you to abide by your oath of office and ensure your personal interests do not influence your official conducts.

 

 “I will like to see you bring new vigour, new change in your different ministries, so that Abia State will remain at the front burner of Innovations”, Ikpeazu said.

The Governor reminded the Permanent Secretaries that they were appointed at a time the administration is in a speed to complete various projects and cautioned them not to slow down the speed, saying that he would no longer condone laxity in the State Civil Service.

He used the forum to commend the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education for aligning with his administration’s vision of digitalizing the education sector and reminded them that as drivers of modern economy, they must be innovative in their different capacities and find courage to drive change in their various ministries.

Responding on behalf of her colleagues, Barr. (Mrs.) Chimdi-Ejiogu Ugonwa thanked the Governor for the elevation and honour done them.

 

She pledged their unalloyed commitment and loyalty to the present administration,assuring that they would work in tandem with the dictates of the Abia State Civil Service.
