The entry of former Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Chief Hon. Oji Ngofa into the Governor Sim Fubara’s political team in Eleme LGA is giving birth to newer phenomena, and gathering more political gains as all former LGA Councillors and Supervisors from the Eleme political enclave have unequivocally surrendered their loyalty and political muscles to Governor Siminialayin Fubara GSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers State.
This development became obvious on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, as all former honorable Councillors of Eleme extraction beginning from the commencement of democratic governance in 1999 trooped to the Country Home of Ambassador Oji Ngofa to send a message to the Rivers State Governor .
The Ex-Councillors forum coordinated by Rt. Hon. Aldolpus Osarollor was led by a staunch supporter and friend of the Governor , Hon. Pastor Jonathan Olaka to Chief Ngofa’s residence in Portharcourt , the capital of Rivers State.
“Governor Sim Fubara is a peace builder and development focused. Eleme people cannot afford to miss leveraging on this special gift to give robust leadership direction to Rivers people. The Ex-Councillors forum congratulates the Ambassador for accepting to be part of the Sim Movement, and on this note would be willing to give in all their best, to entrench the developmental agenda of His Excellency Gov. Sim Fubara for Rivers people”.
An elated Oji Ngofa expressed his thankfulness for the visit and the show of love for the Governor of Rivers State. Oji Ngofa stated that:
“this is a new political re-engineering for the people of Eleme, with intention to galvanise a gamut of support cutting across the length and breath of the LGA for the sole purpose of entrenching the goodness of Governor Sim Fubara and advancing his developmental cause for Rivers State”.
The Ambassador, who expressed deep respect and admiration for the already established Sim Movement structure in Eleme, promised to relay this message to the Governor and to integrate the leadership of the Councillors Forum into the central body of the Sim Movement for seamless political activity in Eleme and beyond.
