Gov. Otti flags off Diaspora Garden City Estate, Amato Ukwu project.

 

 

Abia State Government says it recognizes the importance of the private sector as a key partner, hence the policies being developed to promote more initiative in this area.

Governor Alex Otti said this during the Estate flag-off of Diaspora Garden City Estate at Amato Community, in Osisioma Ngwa LGA of the state.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, asserted that his administration is focused on enhancing housing, infrastructure, and urban planning in the state.

According to him, this aligns with his administration’s agenda of promoting inclusive growth and improving the standard of living for the people.

Otti, who also said that his administration determination to lay the foundation for sustainable development through project, expressed strong confidence that it would serve as catalyst for growth and prosperity to the state.

He pointed out that Aba , known for its industrious nature and vibrant economy, face challenges such as overpopulation, inadequate housing and strained infrastructure as it grows; and to sustain it’s development and status as Nigeria’s entrepreneurial capital, strategic interventions are necessary.

Gov. Otti said, “The establishment of a modern residential community in Osisioma aims to alleviate congestion in Aba, redistribute population density, and offer families a peaceful,secure and sustainable living environment. It will equally create jobs,and boost economic growth in the area”.

He described the project as a reflection of the progress his administration is making and a testament of the commitment to improving the lives of all Abians.

Furthermore, he encouraged all the stakeholders to continue working together towards the common goal of building a brighter future also to harness the power of collaboration and innovation to create a thriving sustainable community that we can all be proud of.

Speaking also, the Mayor of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Chief Chidi Chris Agu who appreciated the initiative and the developers from Christian Prime, Ltd. assured that they would support the project by helping the developer to do his project peacefully and also expand the development to other parts of the Local government.

Earlier in their remarks, the Managing Director, Christian prime Ltd , Dr Ayobanna Ikeanumba and Deacon Michael Aniorji, described the ground breaking ceremony as a fulfillment to the promise made to Gov. Otti to assist his government bring estate development to Abia State.

The developer who also thanked the people of the Amato community for giving their support, insisted that they are desirous for development of state and would ensure that the Housing estate materialized.

The President of Amato Ukwu Community Town Union, Mr. Uchenna Onyenro, in a welcome address said that the dream of the estate outlived the past two administrations in the state prior to the administration of Gov. Otti but expressed happiness that it has matured in the time of the governor, who is eager to develop the state.

He believed that the Diaspora estate at full completion would not only extend Aba town to Amato Ukwu Community, rather it will include the community in the state’s development agenda, both economically and socially.

The event attracted Captains of industries, the political and social class and the traditional institution.
