When the board of Editors of The Sun Publishing Limited nominated Dr Emeka Agwu as winner of The Sun Humanitarian Icon Award for 2023, the nomination was seen as a step in right direction.
This is more especially to those who have encountered and enjoyed his benevolence in the mission field..
Dr. Agwu who the President of Voice of Evangelism International, Houston, USA, has through his God-given grace impacted the global community, using the instrumentality of his office to establish a social welfare infrastructure.

His message of hope to the weary which he perfectly combines with social welfare has brought relief to millions of troubled souls confronted with maladies like depression, addiction and poverty across the world.
Over the past two decades of the blossoming of his global outreach, Dr. Agwu has used the gospel to mentor and heal troubled souls as signs and wonders continued to follow his ministry.
Born on June 2, 1971 to a devoted Christian family in Ohafia in the present day Abia State, he had very early in life devoted himself to faith based activities and supported it with youth empowerment.

A missionary Pastor per excellence at large with LINC Houston as well as its African coordinator, the fiery preacher also sits on the board of several corporate entities in the United States of Africa and other parts of the world.
But despite his busy schedules as the President of Voice of Global Foundation, USA, and in line with his commitment to make a difference in his generation, his passionate for youth empowerment remains unequvicoable as evidenced in his Catch Them Young for Christ and Champion the Hope for the African Child movement.
