Abia Gov. Ikpeazu Commends Umunneochi Council Boss Chief. Madu, Over Achievements

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has extolled the Executive Chairman of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Madu, for achieving so much in infrastructure development, security, rural grading of roads and linking of his council area to the national grid with the scarce resources he  received from the state government as the council chairman.

Governor Ikpeazu, made the commendation at the commissioning of the 300, market stalls, 100 lock up stalls, Eziama motor park, 3 blocks of classroom attracted and built by Chief Madu.

Governor Ikpeazu, said that he was impressed by Chief Madu’s administrative achievement in Umunneochi Local Government Area.

According to the Governor, “we have 17, LGAs in the state but not many can boast of Chief Madu’s achievement, and he has opened more opportunities for the youths of his community being the first from his community to be elected the council boss of Umunneochi LGA” the Governor said.

However, more opportunities are open to Umunneochi Local Government Area as far as they remain people’s democratic party faithful and vote for the party in the upcoming election. He added that any other party rhetorics are mere propaganda.

Finally, I thanked Ndi Eze and the people of Umunneochi LGA for the award they gave me as the most astounding performing Governor since the history of Abia state ,this is encouraging and highly commended, ‘unu emela’.

In an address, the Chairman, Umunneochi LGA, Chief, Madu, thanked the Abia Governor, for all his support and assistance towards the progress he made as the executive chairman of Umunneochi LGA.

According to him, ” taking my mind back when we started this journey and how we were immediately confronted by insecurity, nobody, including myself believed that we can make this headway, but the Governor strengthened me and made the administration work tirelessly to achieve its goals “

“We embarked upon many projects including but not limited to rural roads grading, infrastructural development which cuts across all parts of the local government area, we will still do more” Madu said .

In their remarks, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barrister Eze Chikamnayo, the PDP candidate for deputy governor of the state, Barrister Okey Igwe all thanked the Governor for extending good governance to the Umunneochi LGA.

They promised to be loyal and supportive to the PDP led administration in the state and ensure the that their vote count.
