The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) has joined the global community in celebrating World Food Day 2024 under the theme “Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future,” emphasizing that food is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.
A release signed by the Founder, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, states, “This theme underscores the critical importance of ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, has access to nutritious, affordable, and sustainable food.”
He emphasized that the foundation is committed to improving the lives of people at the grassroots level and meaningfully engaging with communities, adding that the foundation stands firm in the belief that food is not a privilege but a fundamental human right.
“Beyond air and water, food is the third most basic human need. Everyone deserves access to sufficient food. Hence, the efforts of the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation in distributing family support packs of food items and condiments to many rural residents in the Umunneochi community and beyond.”
“In alignment with this year’s theme, we continue our mission to create a better life and a brighter future for all by tackling hunger, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and empowering our communities to thrive with dignity and health.”
He, therefore, calls on well-meaning individuals to support and join the foundation in building a world where no one goes to bed hungry, ensuring that every family has the nourishment they need to live with dignity. He added that, through collaborative efforts, the Right to Food would become a reality for all.
