Jubilations Trail Akirika-Obu Ndoki, As Lawmaker, Obianyi Flags-Off Market Construction

Jubilations have continued to trail the building of market square in Akirika-Obu Ndoki by the lawmaker representing Ukwa-East in Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Hon. Lewis Obianyi.

 

Performing the foundation laying of the project at Akirika-Obu Ndoki over the weekend, the Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Sir Okechi Nwaohu, called on the people to keep fate with the party, expressing hope that the project would meet the needs of the people.

He thanked Hon. Obianyi for the project, stating that the lawmaker has performing creditably.

The community leader, Akirika-Obu Ndoki, Chief Nna Friday Clement expressed joy over the the project, adding that it is the first time their political representative has remembered them with a people-oriented project.

He thanked Hon. Obianyi for prioritizing the project, stating that the border community has been ravaged by community crisis with Akwa-Ibom State neighbours.

Contributing, a legal luminary in the community, Barr. Michael Okechukwu Nna thanked the lawmaker for the ongoing constituency project, disclosing that they community has been without a market square, owing to its destruction 24 years ago by their Akwa-Ibom state neighbours.

He called on the Abia state government to prioritize the security of Akirika-Obu Ndoki, insisting that the Abia community is vulnerable to crisis owing to the withdrawal of military personnels from the area.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Lewis Chinaemerem Obianyi has reiterated his commitment towards championing projects that will improve the livelihood of his constituents.

Hon. Obianyi who regretted the volatile situation of the crisis-torn community, maintained that the constituency project when completed would reactivate the lost economic activities of the area.

The Ndoki-born lawmaker, enjoined his constituents to continue to be law-abiding, insisting that he would continue to use everything at his disposal to attract democracy dividends to his people through collaborative efforts.
