PDP Governors Forum Urged Nwc To Revisit Rivers Caretaker List

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has on Wednesday directed the National Working Committee of the party to urgently revisit the Caretaker Committee list of Rivers State.

The directive was contained in a statement read to newsmen by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba shortly after a pre-caucuse meeting between the Governors Forum and the National Working Committee in Abuja.

The statement read:
“We had a pre-caucuse meeting between the Governors Forum and the National Working Committee. Rising from that meeting we have a short statement to communicate to the world and it reads thus:

“The issue of Rivers State Caretaker Committee was raised at the meeting of PDP Governors Forum and the PDP National Working Committee. It was resolved that a political solution should be applied to resolve all the issues related thereto.”

“Consequently, the PDP Governors Forum directed that the National Working Committee NWC of the PDP revisit the issue of Rivers State Caretaker Committee list”

This directive is not unconnected to the earlier doctoring of the list which brought in new names that were not originally in the State Executive Committee that was asked to transit to Caretaker Committee for the next three months.
