It was a moment of joy as the management and staff of the office of the secretary to the state Government, gathered to rejoice with the secretary to the state Government on his birthday.
Speaking during the event, organized by the management and staff of the SSG, the celebrant and the secretary to the state Government,Prof Kenneth Kalu who expressed joy and gratitude to God for adding another year to his age, thanked the management and staff of the SSG for the show of love .
Prof Kalu who disclosed that the birthday party came as a surprise to him, prayed for the blessings and favour of God upon those who contributed in one way or the other in making his day a memorable one.
In his speech, the Deputy Chief of staff to the Governor, Mr Chinedum Ekeke, who described Prof Kenneth Kalu as an embodiment of knowledge, appreciated him for all his inputs in the present administration and urged him not to relent.
Mr Ekeke, on behalf of their colleagues in government house, wished him long life in good health, wisdom, God’s mercy and favour even as he enjoys his life here on earth.
In their remarks, the special senior Adviser to the Governor on special duties,Dr Betty Obasi and S.A. to the Governor on vulnerable groups and poverty reduction, Mrs Ifeoma Thomas, thanked God for the life of Prof Kenneth Kalu and prayed that God will continue to bless and uphold him even as he makes himself relevant to this dispensation.
Contributing, the permanent Secretary, Office of the SSG, Lady Ogechukwu Maduka wished him a very happy birthday and prayed that God will continue to sustain him and his entire family.
The event featured cutting of cake by the SSG, group photographs and prayers for the SSG.
