Rivers State Goes Agog as Supreme Court Declares Fubara Duly Elected

Rivers State Capital Port Harcourt goes agog as the Supreme Court Abuja today declares Sir Sim Fubara duly elected Rivers Governor

It could be recalled that the Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC in the 2023 election in the  State, Patrick Tonye-Cole had challenged the election of Sir Sim Fubara.

Today the doubts in peoples’ minds became erased as the Supreme Court Abuja declares Fubara validly elected.

The streets of Port Harcourt have seen jubilation and chanting of songs.

The crowd in the Government House premises, the joy, happiness, the general atmosphere were what gave meaning to Fubara’s Supreme Court win.

Jackson Dick, a politician says that today means a lot to the well meaning and peace loving people of Rivers State, even the residents are celebrating the Supreme Court outcome because everyone believes in Fubara.

The people stated that they are happy with Fubara because he can push Rivers State to an enviable height as he is development Oriented.

As at now many congratulatory messages are sent to the Governor. The Rivers State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) warmly felicitates with Rivers State Executive Governor, Sir Fubara on his affirmation by the Supreme Court as the duly elected Governor of the State during the March 18 governorship election, urging the Governor not to be distracted by political opponents but remain focused on good governance delivery to the people of the State. This was signed by the Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Stanley Job Stanley and the secretary of the Union Comrade Ike Wigodo.
