The House of Assembly Candidate for the Umuahia North State Constituency in the 2023 general elections,Hon. Obed Nnaji Asiegbu
has received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the Ohuhu Welfare Union (OWU),
the Apex umbrella body of the Ohuhu Clan.
Hon Nnaji Asiegbu in a similar manner, was also honoured by his people of Amafor Isingwu with a Distinguished Service Award.

Presenting the award, the leadership of Ohuhu Welfare Union said that the award is in recognition of Hon Nnaji Asiegbu’s exceptional dedication to the Ohuhu project, including community engagement and support for community development.
Expressing his gratitude after recieving the award, Hon. Obed Nnaji Asiegbu
described the honors as well cherished coming few months shortly after the general elections.
Hon. Nnaji Asiegbu expressed pride in being recognized for his contributions to the Ohuhu project and affirmed his dedication to placing Ohuhu on the global map through collaborative efforts with stakeholders and leaders.
He pledged to continue championing community development initiatives and reiterated his commitment to the Ohuhu project.
“I am privileged to be honoured by ndi Ohuhu through the Ohuhu Welfare Union Worldwide the umbrella body of the Clan.
“The recognition is based on consistent good community engagement and support for community development. I accept and value these recognitions.
“I have no other place to call my home, Ohuhu is my home,we have the pedigree,we are known for service,we are also industrious; pulling together in the spirit of “onye aghala nwanneya.
“The position we seek today is not anchored on selfish desire,but on one that would in collaboration with stakeholders and leaders place Ohuhu on the global map.
“Thank you Ohuhu, you come first and I do not regret putting you first in my political life. Thank you for recognizing my little contributions to the Ohuhu project, by the Grace of God,we will achieve more”, Hon Nnaji Asiegbu said.
