Government To Partner World Bank

Government has restated its determination to partner World Bank for massive infrastructural development of the State.

The Secretary to the Abia State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu made this known when World Bank team from Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) embarked on an advocacy visit to his office.

Prof kalu, pointed out that the present administration is committed to positively transform all sectors of the state’s economy with the cooperation and support of all critical stakeholders.

The SSG appreciated the team for the visit and urged them to continue to do the good work they are doing in the rural access and Agricultural marketing project.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the team Mr Olatunji Ahmed said the visit was to intimate Government of the programmes and activities of the Rural Access and Agricultural marketing project.

He used the opportunity to congratulate the new administration in the state expressing the hope that the state will witness economic and infrastructural development in all facets of the state’s economy under the able leadership of Governor Alex Otti.

The commissioner for Health Dr Ngozi Okoronkwo among other top Government officials were present during the visit.
