Reps Nkwonta Appreciates God, Reiterates Commitment to Constituents

The member representing Ukwa Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, National Assembly Abuja, Hon Chris Nkwonta has reiterated his commitment to serve his constituents effectively with the fear of God.

Hon Nkwonta who stated this during his thanksgiving service at Cathedral Church of Christ (Anglican Communion) Akwete, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state recently, thanked God and his constituents for sending him to National Assembly to represent their through votes.

In his words: “It is our victory. We won with an overwhelming majority and we will not take people’s mandate for granted”.

Nkwonta further disclosed that his constituents would never regret electing him into the National Assembly, describing their votes as sacred.

The Federal Lawmaker also revealed that over 145 people have been trained through his scholarship programmes, adding that more people would enjoy the dividend of democracy in his new capacity.

He charged the people of Ukwa to shun politics of bitterness, maintaining that it will be the turn of Ukwa-West LGA, to produce his replacement at the green chamber.

Earlier in his sermon, entitled: ‘A christian father and true worshipper family priest’, the Bishop of Ukwa Diocese, Cathedral Church of Christ (Anglican Communion) Akwete, Rt. Rev. Manasses Chijiokem Okere (JP), described a christian father as the pillar and provider of the spiritual direction of the family.

Bishop Okere who further commended Hon. Chris Nkwonta’s perseverance, philanthropic strides, and community services in Ukwa land, also prayed for God’s wisdom and strength in his (Nkwonta’s) new capacity in Abuja.
