AbdulRasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been suspended by President Bola Tinubu.
The decision to suspend Bawa is aimed at facilitating a thorough investigation into his alleged misconduct during his tenure.
In a statement issued by Willie Basse, the Director of Information at the SGF Office, it was revealed that Bawa is facing serious accusations of abusing his position. As a result, he has been instructed to immediately hand over his responsibilities to the Director of Operations at the Commission. The Director will oversee the Chairman’s duties until the investigation is concluded.
