The immediate past chairman of Ariaria International Market, Aba, the commercial nerve center of Abia state, Elder Lucky Akubueze has lauded the giant strides of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in all sectors of the economy.
Interacting with newsmen in Aba, Akubueze specifically commended the governor for his rescue mission in Aba in the areas of infrastructure, road construction, which has boosted the aesthetic value of the market and also created access routes to the market as well constructed Enyimba Filling Station to Free Zone line.
Akubueze who founded, Ariaria Int’l Market Youth Foundation; Azueruala Queens ; Colombia Fans for Ikpeazu 2019; Elders And Patrons Forum Ariaria Int’l market; and Board of Trustee Chairman Old Bende Forever, listed some of the governor’s projects in Aba which has attracted accolades from Abians, its residents and Nigerians to include: Brass street, MCC road, Faulks road, Ifeobara basin, Ukwumango, Eziukwu road, Milverton avenue, Ukaegbu road, Osisioma flyover, which he described as first of its kind in the history of Abia state.
On his achievements as a former chairman of Ariaria International Market, Elder Akubueze said he was the first chairman of any market Union in the state to rally round and organize about 189 buses which conveyed traders for a one million man march in support of Governor Ikpeazu’s administration.
“During my tenure as the chairman of Ariaria International Market, our dear governor attracted President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Labour and Productivity, Sen. Chris Ngige, Minister of Power, Housing and Works, Raji Fashola to Aba for the commissioning of electrification project in Ariaria Market, Aba; I hosted the 28 political structures in Ariaria international market, which gave the PDP the required boost to win Ward 9 which was the first of its kind.
” Also before I assumed office as the chairman, there was no gate in the entire Ariaria International market, my administration built A-line gate, free zone gate, Enyimba gate, Yam line gate, Timber road gates. These gates assisted the market greatly in the areas of protection and security “.
Akubueze, who hails from Umuopara, Umuahia South L.G.A, eulogized the sterling attributes of the wife of the governor, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, saying that great support to the administration of Governor Ikpeazu has contributed to the height the state has attained.
