You’ve Made Us Proud, Ugwunagbo Stakeholders Tell Lawmaker, Erondu Jnr

Stakeholders in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area (LGA), Abia State have commended the Chairman, House Committee on Public Service, Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr for his consistency in delivering democracy dividends to his constituents.

They also thanked the lawmaker for showing leadership and commitment towards uplifting humanity and repositioning their party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for victory in 2027 polls.

Speaking at Umuodo, Ugwunagbo LGA, Abia state yesterday, the Chairman, Political Stakeholders in Ugwunagbo, Dr. Ike Onyenweaku described the lawmaker as a visionary leader, adding the Ngwa nation is proud of him.

Dr. Onyenweaku who also thanked him for visiting them, noted that Ugwunagbo people are more united in PDP across the 17 LGAs than in the past.

In his words: “Ugwunagbo PDP is intact and ready to win elections in 2027 general polls.”

In his remark, the Zonal Chairman, PDP Abia South, Chief Enyinnaya Apollos described Erondu Jnr as a core democrat and dedicated party member, insisting that PDP would win elections in the zone and Abia State come 2027.

He said that credible stakeholders are still in the party, adding that those that left the party did so for their selfish interests.

The former Chief Press Secretary to Abia State Governor, said that Abia PDP has identified their mistakes, urging party stalwarts to remain united in the face of challenges.

Contributing, the member representing Ugwunagbo State constituency in Abia state House of Assembly (ABHA), Hon. Chijioke Uruakpa assured that the party will never collapse in Ugwunagbo, identifying lack of unity of purpose as a factor that reduced the fortune of the party in 2023 polls.

In their separate remarks, the LG party chairman in Ugwunagbo, Hon. Emeka Kanu, the LG woman Leader, Deaconess Kate Okebugo, thanked Erondu Jnr for his commitment to the party, assuring him of the party’s support.

They described those people that left their party as greedy people with no electoral value, insisting that their party in Ugwunagbo is stronger and set to win elections again in 2027.

Earlier in his remark, the member representing Obingwa-West State constituency, ABHA, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, called on party stalwarts to show more resilience and remain in PDP.

The former Chairman, Obingwa LGA, who also enjoined stakeholders and aggrieved party members who were not favoured in the last party congress to sheath their swords and support the party, maintaining that PDP is the only party that prioritize people’s interest.

The former Director, Enyimba FC, maintained that PDP had lost power in the state previously, and regained it, expressing hope that the party would regain power in the state come 2027.

The Uhie-born legislator noted that achieving the goal of returning to power is not going to be a tea party but will come with a lot of sacrifices on the part of the party stakeholders and party members.

In his remark, the Director-General Igodo Igwe campaign council, Hon. Chidiebere Ihenyirimadu thanked Ugwunagbo stakeholders for their warm reception and support to PDP, assuring that they would never regret it.

In his vote of thanks, the PDP State Deputy Chairman, Chief Chinyere Onuoha, who thanked the Abia lawmaker for coming, said that there is nothing to fear, added that they would continue to support the party’s quest to regain power in 2027.

Elder statesman, Elder Isaac Ogbonna, and other party faithfuls graced the occasion.
