Work On Your Faith Otti Charges Anglican Women

The wife of Abia Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti, has called on Abia women to work on their faith, be obedient to their husbands and respect constituted authority as well as build their spiritual life as expressed by the scripture.

The Governor’s wife made the call at the 11th, biennial women and girls guild conference of St. Michael Anglican Church Ossah Ibeku in Umuahia with the theme Remember Lot’s Wife.

In an address, Mrs. Otti, said that the theme of the conference is not just a caption but one to reawaken our consciousness on the importance of being faithful and obedient.

The Abia First Lady explained that the story of Lot’s wife centers on disobedient and therefore charged the participants to the use the opportunity of being in the conference to share ideas, knowledge and also do self appraisal that would improve their spiritual lives, character especially where it concerns loyalty to spouses, friends and constituted authorities.

However, Mrs Otti, also call on the church to continue their support on the present administration led by Governor Alex Otti, through prayers and teachings that will entrench peace and security in the state.

Earlier in her speech, the President, women ministry of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Umuahia, Dr. Gospel Ibeabuchi, urged the women to eschew evil by all means as they continue to work on their faith without distractions.

She however, noted that the theme of the conference Remember Lot’s Wife was chosen to sensitise them on the dangers of disobedience and the need for all to prepare to meet the Lord.
