‘Work Hard, Show Capacity’, Rivers Deputy Gov Charges Female Councilors

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has charged women and people with special innate abilities, to work hard and show capacity to achieve their set goals in life.

Dr. Banigo disclosed this at deputy governor’s lodge in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State while playing host to female Councillors who came to congratulate her for the Distinguished Mother of the Year Award she received from the Mother’s Union and Women Guild of St Cyprians Anglican Church, Port Harcourt.

In their separate remarks,  the Chief Whip, Khana Legislative Assembly, Mrs. Princess Barikui Solomon and her counterpart in Okrika Local Government Area, Mrs. Sarah Abibo described Dr. Banigo as an embodiment of Hope and inspiration to the women, adding that she has demonstrated capacity in the discharge of their duties, as well as unflinching support and loyalty to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

The lawmakers who said Dr. Banigo’s life style stands her out as a role model, noted that her conduct and performance has made Governor Wike to create more opportunities for women to secure more elective political positions like Councillorship and Vice Chairmanship seats in the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.

He added that she has always shown passion for the well-being of women.
