It was a moment of joy and thanksgiving to God as the State Pastor, Living Faith Church, Abia State, Pst Aderemi Adekunle and wife Deaconesses Helen Adekunle, turn Fifty.
The occasion which attracted the who is who in Abia politics, including the Deputy Governor of the state, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, the Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Cosmos Ndukwe among others,also had in attendance members of the Living Faith Family across the nation.
The ceremony which took place at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Government House, Umuahia, had guests appearing in gorgeous attires to celebrate God’s faithfulness upon the couple.
It is interesting to state that the Golden Jubilee celebration of Pst & Dcns Adekunle, also doubled as their 20th Marriage Anniversary.
Addressing the couple in a charge, the wife of the State Pastor, LFC Imo State, Pst Mrs Joy Ajibade, appreciated God on behalf of the celebrants, enjoining them to always reflect on God’s faithfulness upon their lives.
Taking her reference from Philemon 1:14, Mrs Ajibade urged them never to loose sight of the fact that they owe all gratitude to God for keeping them thus far.
“When you reflect on what God has done for you,you will be able to thank Him well”,she said.
Mrs Ajibade called the need for the couple as well as Christians to embrace a higher level of thinking, because it is only when you think well, that is when you can thank well.
Advising the couple on what to pursue in the next phase of their lives, the clergy enjoined them to devote more time with God,imbibe purposeful thinking, maintaining that they should think about the future and how they can make it together, as well as investing on themselves.
Interacting with newsmen, the State Pastor LFC Abia, thanked God for the gift of life upon him and the lovely wife, stressing that the journey has not been easy but the Grace of God has been sufficient.
Advising couples who are going through turbulence in their marriages, Pst Adekunle urged them to shun every selfish act,as no marriage can work when the couples refuse to make sacrifices.
Speaking briefly on his Book that was unveiled, the clergy said the title of the book ‘Father’s Treasure’ was well thought out, as the book would help an individual know who he really is here on earth and to maximize his destiny, stating that when you know who you are, the devil cannot tell you who you are not, thereby reducing the rate of problems man face on earth.
While expressing gratitude to all that graced the occasion, Pst Adekunle revealed that the journey as a minister of God was not a bed of roses and thanked all who have been supporting him in one way or the other
Highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the birthday cake, wedding Anniversary cake, couple dance, drama, song ministration among others.
