Abia State Deputy Governor, Engineer Ikechukwu Emetu has commended the Ibeku Youth Association for keying into Government policies of revamping the economy of the State through agriculture and strong security network that will ensure the safety of lives and properties that will make the State and investor’s haven.
Engr. Emetu who made the commendation during a courtesy call by the Ibeku Youth Association at the Government House Umuahia, noted that the youth friendly Government of Governor Alex Otti knows the importance of agriculture and adequate security network as hallmarks of development that will take youths of the street and crime by providing them employment opportunities that will make them self reliant and responsible citizens.
The Deputy Governor assured the association that their visionary, “Automated Medical Management And Administrative Services” will be forwarded to the Commissioner For Health for perusal while their Security Network should get the backing of the police.
Engr. Emetu lauded the Ibeku Youth Association for voting for Governor Otti and Labour Party candidates as well as their wisdom in appreciating the Governor for uplifting their sons Hon Austine Nmeregini and Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu as Deputy Speaker and Commissioner For Trade ,Commence and Industry respectively to turn around the narrative of the State for greatness.
Earlier in his address, the President of Ibeku Youth Association, Hon Martins Chiedozie Nwosu said that they came to identity and congratulate Governor Otti and Labour Party on their long awaited victory, inform Government of their agricultural, health,security network and skill acquisition project as well as thank the Governor for uplifting their sons Hon Martin Nmeregini as Deputy Speaker and Dr Chimezie Ukaeggu as Commissioner for Trade, Commerce among others and prayed God to give them the wisdom to pilot the affairs of State effectively.
In a vote of thanks ,the Secretary of the Association thanked the Deputy Governor for giving them the opportunity to interact with them and assured that the Association will use their youthfulness to support the present administration in the journey to make Abia great.
