We’re determined to rebuild Abia, Engr. Emetu assures CAN

The Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu has commended Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for their prayers and intercessions made during and after the 2023 General Elections and accompanied court actions respectively.

Engr Emetu who made the commendation when the Executive members of Abia State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria payed him a courtesy visit at Government House, Umuahia noted that the overwhelming show of love and support to the Dr Alex Otti’s administration is cristal clear.

The Deputy Governor reiterate that the Governor is determined in rebuilding the State to encourage Public Private Partnership to create jobs and employment opportunities for the teeming youths.

He expressed belief in CAN which represents the body of Christ and charged them not to relent in praying for Dr Otti’s led administration and State at large for the enthronement of good governance.

In his speech, the CAN Chairman, Abia State, The Rev Ojo Uduma who described the victory of Dr. Alex Otti, at all levels as a victory for all Abians said they are happy with the unprecedented new face in governance being experienced in the State which is a manifestation of God’s Glory in the present administration.

They reaffirmed their support to help curb insecurity through moral teachings and concerted prayers and appealed for operational vehicles for for effective evangelism.

Speaking also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Apostle K. C. Wiper regretted that CAN as a major Christian body has not been accorded the much needed attention over the years, but expressed confidence in Governor Otti’s administration’s harmonious relationship with the Christian body.

That highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Holy Bible to the Deputy Governor and a prayer session for the success of Dr. Otti’s led administration.
