We’ll Fight Corruption To A Standstill- NACAT Vows

A group, Network Against Corruption and Trafficking, NACAT has vowed to fight corruption headlong in Nigeria describing it as a common enemy of the nation.

The South South Coordinator of NACAT, Michael Ekpo stated this on Weekend during the inauguration of the South South regional office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Ekpo said corruption was the reason why Nigeria’s common patrimony is in the hands of few individuals while majority live in abject poverty.

He also attributed the failed educational system, unemployment among the youths and dysfunctional healthcare services in the country to corruption saying that fight against corruption is fight for a better Nigeria.

While calling for accountability and transparency among Nigerian leaders, Ekpo said it was high time they made to understand that they were put in office for the good of all, so, they must be accountable and responsible for all, “not responsible for themselves, their families or for any cabal”
