We are not going to bed,we’ll continue to preach SDP-Nwagba

With the outcome of the just concluded elections, where some political parties were unable to win a single seat at the State House of Assembly Election, let alone a governorship seat, one would wonder if they can actually be relevant or sustain their parties till 2023 which is the next electioneering year.

For the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abia, they said the party would continue to wax stronger and would not relent in preaching the gospel of the party, so as to become a force come 2023.

Addressing newsmen at the party Secretariat of the governorship candidate in Umuahia, the SDP governorship candidate, Hon Dame Blessing Nwagba, disabused the minds of some Abians who think her party would go to bed after the February 23 and March 9, polls, saying that the SDP is still vibrant and active and part of its seriousness is the post election meeting held today.

According to Nwagba, the members of the party as well as its leaders should not derail or loose sight of the vision of the party and ensure the message of the party is preached continuously at both state and ward levels, so that by 2023, the party would be strong and fit to slog it out with other parties.

Nwagba who berated the crisis at the National Level of the party, said it contributed to the crisis the party witnessed in the state SDP, as some of its leaders were involved in anti party politics, which according to her necessitated the defeat at the just concluded Governorship and State House of Assembly polls.
