Two Nigerians battled for supremacy when Spartak Moscow of Russia hosted Leicester City of England in one of the group stage matches of the UEFA Europa League.
Former Chelsea and Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses played for the Russian side while Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho filed out for the visitors. After ninety minutes of soccer hostilities, Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammates took all three points after defeating their hosts 3-4.
Though both players did not find the back of the net, they provided assists.
While Victor Moses assisted Spatark’s second and third goal, Iheanacho assisted Zambian International, Patson Daka to score his first and second goals on his way to score a double brace.
This is Leicester City’s first win of the competition this season. They are now second in group C with four points behind Legia Warsaw, who will lurk horns with Victor Osimhen’s Napoli on Thursday.
