The former Chairman, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA) Abia State, Hon. Chuks Wabara has congratulated former Abia State Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.
In a statement made available to journalists, the former council chairman said Ikpeazu’s appointment reflects his leadership credentials, administrative experience and commitment to national development.
According to Wabara, the former governor’s academic background, governance experience and understanding of international engagement, position him well to effectively represent Nigeria and promote the nation’s interests abroad.
He expressed optimism that Ikpeazu would leverage his experience and diplomatic skills to deepen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Spain, while also creating opportunities for cooperation in areas such as trade, investment and cultural exchange.
Wabara further stated that the appointment would not only strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence in Spain but also enhance the country’s image in the international community.
The former council chairman wished Ikpeazu success in his new assignment and prayed for wisdom, strength and good health as he undertakes the responsibility of advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and fostering stronger ties between both nations.
