As the general elections draw closer,Abia state Governor,Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu has asked the people to vote, not just for equity only but for performance, stressing that his administration has fixed several delapidated roads in Aba and is poised to do more in the second tenure.
Addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters during the PDP State rally at Boys Technical College, Aba North and Abia State College of Health, Technology & Sciences, Aba South, Governor Ikpeazu while stressing the need for all to vote PDP in all the elections,challenged the people to tell themselves truth and support the government and party that has affected their lives positively.
He restated his administration’s commitment towards the construction of Ohanku, Obohia, Osusu and Omuma roads noting that his government has commenced construction of drainages in some of the roads.
Governor Ikpeazu who challenged those after his position to point to what they have done for Abians in the past, assured that he would continue to build Aba until it becomes developed.
In their separate speeches, the senator representing Abia South senatorial zone, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the candidate for Aba North and South federal constituency Chief Uzo Azubuike and the member representing Aba south state constituency Mr Clinton Ebere and candidate for Aba central Mr Sunny Maduako noted that the PDP government under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has demonstrated his love for Aba people through many projects, urging them to reciprocate by voting all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.
While receiving hundreds of defectors from other political parties into the PDP fold, the state chairman of the PDP central campaign Council, Chief Johnson Onuigbo and the Director General of the Campaign Council Elder John Nwangborogwu appreciated the defectors for taking the wise decision assuring them of a better life under the party.
Contributing,the Commissioner for Education Professor Ikechi Mgbeoji, Chief Okezie Erondu and Mrs Uchechi Emejieaka said PDP is the party to beat at the forth coming general elections, and solicited the support of the people of Aba South to key behind the visionary leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and ensure the Governor’s victory.
