He stated this while speaking to news men at the venue of the flag off, Osusu civic Hall, Aba. According to him “the health of our people, more especially the elderly is paramount and must be taken care of. Most times they don’t have access to good drugs that will handle their ailments. This was the vision and mission that birthed VCE Foundation three years ago. The foundation will be giving free medical care to hypertensive, diabetic and ulcer patients.”

Others who are to benefit from this free medical outreach are those with infectious diseases in the community. He also noted that the free medical outreach by his VCE Foundation will be a periodic event and every community in the state will have their own share of it.

The VCE Foundation, which is founded on the platform of giving back to the society, has already given out scholarship to students in his community to study different courses in the universities of their choice. Primary and secondary school students are not left out in this scholarship.

The foundation is also interested in human development as there are plans to embark on other social and community engagements which will include: youths empowerment, women empowerment and education development programme.

Dr. Egbulefu advised Abians in diaspora to try and come home, and should disregard all the negative things they read or see on social media about the state. The state is far better than what they read or hear. There is need to come home and contribute the little they can to the development of the state.

He commended the effort of the Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration on the giant stride recorded so far in the health sector and infrastructural development in the state and also expressed the fact that he is looking forward to collaborating with the state government in achieving the Abia State of our dream.
